I have still not got all my craft things in my new home, but really wanted to craft so challenged myself to use what I had.
In my caddy I had from my class I taught, I found a nice small canvas. I had a few inks and some gels and paste and bits and bobs left from the class too.
Well I am super pleased with this one.
I used some scraps of corrugated card, lace, some old felt textured thickers, a few metals and Hessian to add texture to the background. I didn’t have my beloved 3d gloss gel from prima so used their soft gels to glue on the lighter elements and a bit of texture paste to add the metals.
This was dried and given a good coat of prima white gesso and dried again.
Using some purple prima mica powder I found, I made 2 things. I added some to a spray bottle with water and some Dylusions bubblegum pink ink to make a spray. This I sprayed on the canvas and and went in with the Dylusions on its own and some of my favourite Heidi swapp gold ink.
I also used this spray with some more mica in a bowl to create a heavier coloured liquid to colour some white flowers which I just pressed into this liquid and dried
The flowers were added at the end and a nice thicker ‘shine word used to finish.
I had trouble with my signal this evening, but you can find a video demo in parts at https://www.facebook.com/groups/947873945281936/
Hope you like it.
