Altered diary…

Here’s another little stocking filler I’ve made. This time i decided to alter a diary.to make a nice gift. I bought a diary from a pound shop and took my heart of home pad to decorate it

I took a few sheets from the pad and roughly tore pieces and edged them with inks

I added some metal embellishments to add layers and interest

I added more metal embellishments and some resin flowers and a sentiments from then pad to the centre to finish. I added touches of prima wax to the metal and edges of some of the papers to make it pop.

Christmas frame…

I made a Christmas frame as a little xmas gift and i will show how easy this is to make a lovely little present.

Taking the frame, i roughly marked out all 4 sides on a sheet of paper. This one was from the echo park twas the night before christmas volume 2 range we have at

http://thompsoncraftsupplies.co.uk/listing/echo-park-collection-kit-12×12-twas-the-night-before-christmas-vol-2/

Using the edge of my scissors, i roughed up the paper then stuck to the frame with double sided tape

I then took a photo and applied foam tape to the edges and added some of the glitter girlsl washi tape available at

http://thompsoncraftsupplies.co.uk/listing/shimelle-glitter-girl-washi-tape-8pkg/

I then took some die cuts from the simple stories very merry and added to the photo with foam tape. Get these at http://thompsoncraftsupplies.co.uk/listing/very-merry-bits-pieces-die-cuts-51pkg/

Finally the frame was decorated with the very merry chipboard available at http://thompsoncraftsupplies.co.uk/listing/very-merry-chipboard-stickers-6×12/

DT leila demonstrated today how to give mixed media a try. Don’t be afraid just grab some supplies you have and just go for it.

Leila too some of the American Crafts Bootiful papers and some of the Tim Holtz ephemera we have for sale and paired it with a cute skull stamp, flower and embossing powders. Isn’t it fantastic.
