Hello all! Grace back with another DT project with the February kit.
An altered hoop was something I’d never done before, so I watched plenty of process videos on YouTube before I started. At first I couldn’t decide what side of the hoop I wanted to alter, so as I began working on the hoop I added the base elements such as gesso and crackle paste to both sides in the hope that I would eventually decide which side I was going for… that didn’t happen, so I ended up with a double sided hoop!
And now I love the fact that it’s double sided! It’s hanging on a lamp in my craft room and I can spin it round to have the side I might prefer to see that day (or just have fun spinning it over and over :P).
As always, I have done a process video on my YouTube channel. It’s slightly longer than normal due to the double sided-ness of the project but you hope you enjoy it!
Here are some links to products I used that are not in the kit but that you can buy from the store:
And I’ll finish with some close ups. I’m really loving the mix of yellow, pink, and blue, in this project. Not colours I would necessarily put together but they really work well here to fit in with this month’s bold and colourful theme.
