Nautical plaque from March Kit by Kasia

Hello everybody,

Snow is gone and I can already smell spring in the air…

March Nautical Kit Is just perfect to shake off all those winter blues and get ready for summer.

I have a very summery plaque for you today… oh I miss beach and seaside even more …

I tried to used lots of embellishments from a kit… I have found some shells in my stash that seem to be perfect for this theme.

I will try to tell you in few steps how I did it.

I have gessoed the wooden plaque and applied the Finnabair platinum crackle paste.

I should have wait good couple of hours for crackles to appear naturally but I was too impatient and used heat gun… the crackle did not form as they should… ( lesson learnt) lol

I used the sand paste from the kit through the stencil (kit)

I used my Lindy’s shakers ( add ons) , sprinkle a bit and spray with water

The platinum crackle paste resisted the colours but sandpaste took it nicely , creating really nice effect … but seriously I did not know how it is going to turn up as I was using both products for a first time…

I love those little

I used some craft stone at the bottom of the plaque and some sequins from the kit…

Started layering .. I used net and burlap from the kit

I continued to layer up my plaque with the embellishments from the kit… you simply carry on till you happy. I used the sentiment from of the sheet from a kit… so many to choose from…

Mat and layer the sentiment

Use some resin flowers

The string from a burlap were used as well

Use some sequins

Next week I will blog my Nautical tag…
